Raisin Flake Cookies
1 cup sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp Calumet Baking Powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter or other shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg well beaten
2 T milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 Cups Post Raisin Bran
Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder and salt, and sift again. Cream shortening, add sugar
gradually, and cream together until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Add flour, alternately
with milk, beating after each addition. Add vanilla and cereal and blend. Drop by teaspoon on
greased baking sheet. Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees) 13 minutes or until done.
Makes about 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
Note honey or dark corn syrup may be substituted for sugar, omit milk.
If dark corn syrup is used add 2 teaspoons grated orange rind to the shortening.
Note you can also use Post Toasties , Grape nut flakes or Post 40 % Bran Flakes
and add 1/2 cup raisins with cereal
Chocolate Chip Raisin Flake Cookies ...
Use recipe and add 1/2 cup Baker's Semi Chocolate Chips with the cereal.

Lets Make Some Cookies 1956 Recipe From General Foods Day 5 Peanut Butter
I love Peanut Butter Cookies.. Here is recipe using cereal as one of the ingredients
Peanut Butter Cookies
1 1/2 cups of sifted flour
1/2 tsp of salt
1 tsp of soda
1/4 cup of butter or other shortening
1 cup of sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup of peanut butter
2 T of milk
1 tsp of vanilla
2 cups of Post Sugar Crisp
Or us Grape Nut Flakes, Post Toasties or 40 % Bran
Sift flour once, measure, add soda and salt and sift again. Cream shortening, add sugar gradually and cream together until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Stir in peanut butter until mixture is well blended. Add flour, alternately with milk, mixing thoroughly. Blend in vanilla. For each cooky, shape 1 tsp of dough into ball. Roll each ball in cereal. Place cookies about 2 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 48 cookies.

Ice Box Crispies
1 1/2 cups Grape Nuts Flakes
2 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons Calumet Baking Powder
14 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter or other shortening
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
Or use 1 1/2 cups Post Toasties or Post 40% Bran Flakes
Crush cereal. Sift flour once, measure , add baking powder and salt.and sift again. Cream shortening
add sugar gradually, and cream together until light and fluffy. Add eggs. Add flour gradually then
add vanilla, lemon juice and cereal. Shape into rolls, 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper
and chill overnight, or until firm. Cut into thin slices.
Bake in hot overn (400 degrees) 5 to 6 minutes .
Makes 4 dozen cookies
